Administration can be a route to rebirth

UK company administrations rose 41% to 151 between December and January, according to the Insolvency Service, but recent cases including Revolution Bars, Claire’s and TGI Fridays illustrate that administration can serve as a restructuring tool rather than a terminal event, with options ranging from going-concern rescues and pre-pack sales to trading administrations designed to preserve value, protect jobs and maximise returns for creditors.
