Agilitas IT Solutions Enters Administration as Alvarez & Marsal Oversee Wind-Down

Cameo Services acquires maintenance customer base in pre-pack deal as Nottingham-based IT provider falls into administration

Agilitas IT Solutions Ltd, a Nottingham-based IT channel services provider, has entered administration following a year of deep financial strain and the loss of key customer contracts. Alvarez & Marsal Europe LLP’s partners Michael Magnay and Rob Croxen were appointed joint administrators on 21 October after the private equity–backed firm filed a notice of intention to appoint administrators last week through Eversheds Sutherland LLP.

Founded in 2014, Agilitas, which employed more than 100 staff, reported a 26% revenue drop in its most recent financial year—falling from £17.7 million to £13 million—after losing one of its largest corporate customers and facing significant market challenges. Despite a series of senior leadership changes, the company was unable to stabilise its operations or secure additional investment.

Ahead of the administration filing, Cameo Services Ltd acquired Agilitas’s IT maintenance customer base in a pre-packaged transaction designed to ensure continuity of service for clients and partners. The deal transfers responsibility for the firm’s service contracts and technical support operations to Cameo, whose management said the acquisition would safeguard customer relationships and expand its national footprint.

Cameo, which employs more than 70 field engineers, said the acquisition strengthens its position within the UK IT channel ecosystem and broadens its professional and lifecycle services portfolio.
