Avon Products files for bankruptcy following cash flow issues caused by talc lawsuits

The owner of the beauty brand Avon in the UK, Europe and Latin America has filed for bankruptcy in the US to deal with millions of dollars in liabilities linked to lawsuits alleging that talc in its products caused cancer. Avon’s UK operations will continue to trade and no job cuts are expected as part of the process.
