Barrow Owl Sanctuary scrutinised by watchdog

The Owl Sanctuary, a charity in Barrow, Cumbria, is being investigated by watchdog the Charity Commission after it changed its status from a solvent company to a charity by undergoing a liquidation, which experts say was not necessary to convert the business into a charity, and concerns were raised about how a £225,000 legacy and other funds were spent.
