Black Capital – liquidation
Black Capital, a private investment firm based in Milton Keynes, was placed in provisional liquidation on 15 September, with Stephen Hunt of Griffins appointed as provisional liquidator. Griffins are conducting a tracing exercise into the flow of funds, and it is thought that several hundred investors have lost money. The action was brought by investors who had not received repayment of their substantial investments. Investigations suggest that investors are owed over £40m. Ongoing litigation includes freezing orders over the partners of the business. Griffins are assisted by Maria Koureas-Jones of Francis Wilks & Jones Solicitors.
