Boujee Restaurant and Bar Limited – administration
Boujee Restaurant and Bar Limited, a Chester-based bar and restaurant which has been described as ‘Instagram heaven’, has been acquired via pre-pack sale by one of its founding directors, after entering administration on 14 October. The restaurant, in Pepper Street, was one of three operating under the distinctive Boujee brand. The company’s initial trading was positive. However, during the lockdowns, it made a loss and, as a new business, was unable to access the majority of Covid support packages available. These issues were compounded by increases in food and drink costs which could not be passed on to customers. Despite the closure of the Liverpool restaurant, the company’s financial position has continued to deteriorate. Lisa Moxon and Ben Barrett of Dow Schofield Watts Business Recovery were appointed as Joint Administrators.
