BrewDog creditors owed £190m will not be paid in full, say administrators

Creditors of BrewDog are facing substantial losses following the brewer’s collapse, with administrators AlixPartners reporting that around £190 million is owed to creditors and that there are insufficient funds to repay them in full. The Guardian reported that unsecured creditors are expected to receive almost nothing, while HSBC expects to recover £42 million of the £61 million it is owed and around 200,000 crowdfunding investors have been left with worthless shares. BrewDog’s brand and certain assets were sold to Tilray for £33 million earlier this year, while 38 bars closed and 440 jobs were lost.
