British Corner Shop Limited - administration
British Corner Shop Limited, a Bristol-based vendor of more than 6,000 British food products to expats worldwide, entered administration on 29 March. The company faced operational challenges following Brexit and through the pandemic, which led to the need for an accelerated M&A process. Immediately following their appointment as Joint Administrators, Jonathan Dunn and Andrew Sheridan of FRP completed a sale of the UK operations and the share acquisition of British Corner Shop’s Dutch subsidiary to special situations private equity firm Rcapital, ensuring the transfer of all 28 jobs in the UK and 23 jobs in the Netherlands. FRP were advised by TLT LLP, Gordon Brothers and Metis Partners. Various HSBC Bank entities have registered charges against the company.
