Challen Commercial Investigations Limited – administration

Challen Commercial Investigations Limited, trading as Ensafe Consultants, a Northamptonshire-headquartered environmental and health and safety services company, entered administration on 19 October. The company traded in the asbestos advisory space and employed more than 175 people. The Joint Administrators cited lockdowns, debts, a previous administration and labour shortages as the primary drivers behind the company’s administration. The company had also attempted to find a buyer prior to the administration, but was unsuccessful. Greg Palfrey of Evelyn Partners and William Turner of Verulam Advisory were appointed as Joint Administrators. Abn Amro Commercial Finance PLC and Lloyds Bank PLC both have two registered charges against the company.
