Cineworld in talks to merge with rival Cineplex, reports say

Bankrupt cinema giant Cineworld is reportedly in talks to merge with rival Canadian firm Cineplex, in an attempt to secure the brand and its venues after admitting ticket sales were unlikely to recover to pre-pandemic levels.
