Collapsed broker Argentex leaves creditors on the hook for £113m

Collapsed AIM-listed Argentex left creditors facing £113 million of claims after entering administration in July, with filings showing more than £112 million owed to over 50 creditors led by IFX Payments and exposure triggered by a high-risk FX trading strategy that unravelled following margin calls from banks including Barclays and Citigroup, scuppering a proposed rescue sale.
