Company behind private college Kings Oxford enters administration

Touchload Limited, the company behind private school Kings Oxford, entered administration on 9 April 2026, with Stephen Katz and Lawrence Birne of BTG Begbies Traynor appointed to oversee the process.
Kings Oxford is an independent, fee‑paying college offering GCSEs, A‑levels, foundation programmes and English language courses from its campus in Temple Road, Cowley, and a city centre site in St Michael’s Street. Its programmes are priced at over £30,000 annually.
The appointment follows financial pressure across the independent education sector, where operators have faced higher staffing, property and compliance costs, alongside sensitivity to enrolment levels in the international student market.
While details have not been released, it appears a deal has been reached with the INTO University Partnerships group, an operator within the international education sector, to allow the college to continue to operate as a distinct brand inside the INTO University Partnerships group.
