Craigard Care Limited – administration

Craigard Care Limited, an Aboyne-headquartered care home business, entered administration on 3 March as a result of high operating and agency costs which led to unsustainable cash flow issues. Joint Administrators Tom MacLennan and Graham Smith of FRP Advisory have secured the sale of the company’s three homes to two purchasers – Weston View Care Home in Keith and Wakefield House Care Home in Cullen to Parklands Care, and Riverside Care Home in Aberdeen to Renaissance Care. 165 jobs will be saved, while four head office staff will reportedly be made redundant. The Royal Bank of Scotland PLC has several registered charges against the company.
