Diageo unveils £890m restructuring plan

Drinks giant Diageo has unveiled an £890 million restructuring programme targeting about £740 million of savings over three years, as the Guinness maker responds to falling sales and a 27% drop in operating profit with an operating model overhaul, supply-chain efficiencies and continued portfolio disposals.
