Dual Seal Glass sold in pre-pack deal, saving 90 jobs

Pre-pack sale to Commercial Glass Specialists preserves about 90 jobs and keeps the Huddersfield manufacturer trading after product liability claims, bad debts and rising costs strained the business

Dual Seal Glass Limited, a Huddersfield manufacturer of high-performance insulated glass panels, entered administration on 29 June 2026, and was sold in a pre-pack transaction to Commercial Glass Specialists Limited the same day.

Sean Williams and Phil Deyes of Leonard Curtis were appointed joint administrators and completed the sale following a pre-appointment marketing process and competitive bidding exercise.

Founded in 1995, Dual Seal Glass supplied specialist glazing products to the construction sector, employed about 90 people and generated annual turnover of approximately £13 million.

The company had been affected by historic product liability claims, bad debts, rising operating costs and supply chain disruption, which placed increasing pressure on its financial position.

Commercial Glass acquired the business and assets, allowing operations and customer relationships to continue. Employees transferred to the purchaser under TUPE regulations.

Cerberus Group provided an independent valuation of the business and assets. Commercial Glass was advised by Azher Quyoom, Grace Moreton and Raheel Quyoom of Andrew Jackson Solicitors.
