Evans Textile (Sales) Limited, a Manchester-based supplier of soft furnishings and window hardware, had its business and assets purchased out of administration by a subsidiary of the Mzuri Group Ltd.
The company, incorporated in March 2007, faced financial challenges due to the insolvency of its subsidiaries, liquidity issues, and rising costs.
BDO was engaged to undertake an accelerated sales process, resulting in a pre-pack sale to Mzuri Textiles Ltd on 24 December 2024, the same day Kerry Bailey and Mark Thornton of BDO were appointed joint administrators. The sale included the business and assets and the transfer of 49 employees. Trade continues from the current premises.
Mzuri Textiles Ltd were advised by James Neill and John Donaldson from KPMG. DLA Piper assisted Evans with its NOI filing.
HSBC UK Bank Plc, HSBC Invoice Finance (UK) Ltd and a private individual have security registered against the company. HSBC Invoice Finance (UK) Ltd was repaid in full on completion of the sale and HSBC UK Bank Plc is also expected to be repaid in full.
