ExxonMobil to shut chemicals plant in Fife with loss of up to 450 jobs

ExxonMobil will shut its four-decade-old Fife Ethylene Plant by February, cutting up to 450 jobs after failing to secure government support, citing an uncompetitive policy and market environment that left the site without a viable future.
