Failed car dealer Cazoo will pay huge tax bill – but still owes nearly £76m to creditors

Administrators from Teneo overseeing the collapse of online car dealer Cazoo expect to pay HMRC £8 million in full and have settled employee claims, but nearly £76 million owed to about 9,500 unsecured creditors remains uncertain as £50 million of cash sits in a restricted account controlled by secured creditor Glas Trust Corporation, leaving the final dividend unclear despite the sale of the Cazoo brand to Motors for £5 million.
