Frost Burgers Limited – administration
Frost Burgers Limited, which operated an acclaimed vegan burger restaurant in Manchester and Liverpool, entered administration on 7 October. Founded in 2018 by social media influencer Monami Frost, the popular vegan burger chain offered a 100% plant-based menu, serving burgers, fries and milkshakes. Despite its avid fan base, who deemed the restaurant’s food to taste exactly like real meat, the restaurant struggled to afford raw ingredients and pay its energy bills. It had also taken a huge hit from labour shortages, as well as debts accrued over lockdowns, including bounce back loans. Paul Stanley and Jason Greenhalgh of Begbies Traynor were appointed as Joint Administrators, and are now looking for someone to buy the leases and the assets of the restaurant, including ready-made commercial kitchens.
