Glaisyers LLP - Administration

Glaisyers LLP, a Birmingham law firm, has been purchased out of administration by two law firms that will take over its files and the majority of its employees.

The firm practised family law, wills, trust and probate, litigation and prison law and employed about 20 people.

Charles Turner and Gareth Wilcox of Opus Restructuring were appointed joint administrators of Glaisyers on 31 July. Shortly thereafter, family and care cases were transferred to Cartwright King and civil litigation work was transferred to Davisons Law.

The reasons behind the firm’s financial difficulties have yet to be revealed.

David Paul Simon and Alison Jane Smith have a registered charge against the firm.
