Glasgow law firm enters administration

DJ Mackay & Partners LLP, a Glasgow law firm specialising in personal injury claims, entered administration on 14 August 2026 after financial difficulties led its partners to conclude that the insolvency process was necessary.

Shona Campbell, head of business recovery and insolvency at Henderson Loggie, was appointed administrator. The law firm employs 16 people and has notified the Law Society of Scotland of the administration. The transfer of client files and live matters is expected to be substantially completed by the end of August.

Campbell said the immediate focus is on securing client files, protecting confidential information and maintaining continuity for clients with matters in progress. Henderson Loggie is working with regulators and other stakeholders on arrangements for the orderly transfer and ongoing management of live cases, while staff are being supported through any resulting redundancy process.

The Glasgow-based practice was founded in 2017 and operated from Fountain House in Charing Cross. Its work centred on personal injury litigation, including accident claims and related matters. The firm also traded as UnionLine Scotland in connection with legal services provided to union clients.

Donald Mackay, director of DJ Mackay & Partners, said the firm was cooperating with Henderson Loggie to ensure an orderly handover and apologised to clients for disruption arising from the administration.
