Greater Manchester Centre for Voluntary Organisation - Administration

Greater Manchester Centre for Voluntary Organisation, a charity whose aim is to drive economic and social inclusion in Greater Manchester, entered administration on 27 November.

The charity is one of the largest local infrastructure organisations in the UK.

In its most recent accounts, the charity disclosed that it would likely face significant losses in the 2023/2024 fiscal year as it invested in systems and transitioned to new activities and forms of income. The charity also reportedly suffered from lost contracts and decreased income.

Emma Mifsud and Charles Turner of Opus Restructuring were appointed joint administrators and are understood to be exploring the option of moving some of the charity's services to new partners.

The joint administrators are represented by LCF Law.

The Greater Manchester Combined Authority and Big Society Capital have registered charges against the charity.
