Hestercombe Gardens - Administration

Hestercombe Gardens, an historic Somerset estate dating back to the 16th century, entered administration on 1 August, with Mark Boughey and Rebecca Dacre of Forvis Mazars appointed joint administrators.

Hestercombe, which operates as a wedding venue and visitor attraction, has suffered from decreasing visitor numbers in recent years and wedding/café operations failing to deliver the profitability the wider estate requires. With cost pressures continuing to increase, the company sought the protection of administration.

Hestercombe Gardens is continuing to operate whilst the joint administrators explore options.
