The IPA is hiring for the following roles:

  • Regulation Officer: We are ideally looking for someone who is JIE qualified (or qualified by experience) to join our Regulation team and process regulatory matters relating to licensed Insolvency Practitioners. This will predominantly comprise a portfolio of complaint files but will also involve providing support on related matters, including, where necessary, to colleagues conducting monitoring inspection visits. This is a fixed-term (12 months, with the possibility of becoming permanent), full-time role (35 hours per week). The position is home-based, with occasional travel to our London office at 46 New Broad Street, London, EC2M 1JH, as required. The closing date is the close of business, 28 February 2025.   • Events Coordinator: As a membership-based organisation, providing excellent customer service delivery to members is at the heart of everything we do. You will be joining an award-winning team delivering an ambitious agenda of events including our three Annual Conferences, a series of Regional Roadshows across the UK, Annual Dinner and Awards, and a full programme of IPA Learning Webinars, to name but a few!   • Monitoring Inspector: As a Monitoring Inspector, your primary responsibility will be to monitor the work of insolvency practitioners, reviewing working files and ensuring adherence to laws, rules, ethics, insolvency principles, and AML regulations. After training, you will plan and lead monitoring visits, conducting the whole process including interviews with practitioners and key staff members, reviewing systems, and preparing a report for consideration by the IPA’s Regulation and Conduct Committee. Your main objective will be to form a balanced assessment of the practitioner's fitness to practice. Inspectors are home-based, offering flexibility in planning working hours. While much of the monitoring work can be completed remotely, occasional travel within the UK will be required for on-site visits. You will also be asked occasionally to attend the IPA’s London office. Inspectors must be willing to travel across the UK and have reliable access to transportation.
