John Truswell & Sons trading as Truswell Haulage - Administration

John Truswell & Sons trading as Truswell Haulage, a Yorkshire-based haulage company with roots dating back to the Second World War, entered administration on 11 November.

The company was established in 1940 and grew to operate 50 lorries from several locations across the UK.

Mark Thornton and Simon Girling of BDO were appointed joint administrators and said that the company’s collapse had been caused by decreased demand and increased costs. 86 employees have been made redundant. 

James Bennett Truswell, Ian Truswell & Susan Truswell and Praetura Commercial Finance have registered charges against the company.
