Jupiter Marketing Limited – administration

Jupiter Marketing Limited, a Newport, Shropshire-based grower, importer and wholesaler of fruit to a number of UK supermarkets, with subsidiary operations in Chile, Europe and South Africa, entered administration on 5 September. Following a recent refinance, the company faced a challenging commercial period with cost inflation in all its operating regions, as well as dramatic rises in shipping costs and localised supply chain challenges. Tim Bateson and Chris Pole from Interpath Advisory were appointed joint administrators. The majority of the company’s 85 staff were made redundant, with a small number retained to assist the administrators. Investec Capital Solutions Limited has a registered charge against the company.
