Kingfisher Una Resort - Administration
Kingfisher Una Resort, the company behind Cornish luxury resort Una St Ives, entered administration on 24 October, with Richard Lewis and Alistair Wardell of Grant Thornton appointed as joint administrators.
Investors in the resort had become increasingly fearful they would never see their villas built or their investments returned after months’ long unexplained delays.
The company’s business ceased on to trade on appointment including all future guest bookings being cancelled, but the resort itself will continue to trade, since money-making assets such as the leisure facilities, including the restaurant, pools, gym and spa, are now owned by a separate company called Carbis Club.
Kingfisher Resorts St Ives and Loan Note Debentures have registered charges against the company.
