LifeSkills Solutions Limited – administration

LifeSkills Solutions Limited, a specialist education provider for 16 to 18-year-olds with centres in Suffolk, Essex and Yorkshire, entered administration on 14 October, after a government funding audit identified “data irregularities”. 470 students will now need to find alternative training providers so they can complete their training, and all 80 staff have been made redundant. In a statement, a company spokesperson said that an ongoing dispute with the Education and Skills Funding Agency and Department for Education had affected funding and made the social enterprise unviable. Kris Wigfield and Joanne Hammond of Begbies Traynor were appointed as Joint Administrators. Barclays Security Trustee Limited has a registered charge against the company.
