Linbrooke Services Ltd - Administration

Linbrooke Services Ltd, a Sheffield-based specialist engineering firm, had its rail business acquired out of administration via a pre-pack deal, saving 140 jobs.

Richard Easterby and Chris Newell of Quantuma were appointed as joint administrators of Linbrooke Services on 15 October after increasing budget constraints of its public-sector clients, particularly in the railway construction and power sectors, hit infrastructure investments and delayed projects.

Unfortunately, not all of the business could be saved, and approximately 60 employees have lost their jobs.

Santander UK PLC has a registered charge against the company.
