Lucky Voice sold in pre-pack administration, with 59 jobs saved and 53 lost
UK karaoke bar operator sold to Swedish entertainment group, but three locations close

UK karaoke bar operator Lucky Voice has been sold in a pre-pack administration to Swedish entertainment group Moyagi, preserving three London venues and 59 jobs, while three other locations have closed with the loss of 53 jobs.
Steve Absolom and Howard Smith of Interpath were appointed joint administrators of Lucky Voice Group Limited, Lucky Voice (Soho) Limited and Lucky Voice Pods Limited on 6 October 2026. Immediately following their appointment, the administrators completed a sale of the business and certain assets to Asobi Group Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Stockholm-founded Moyagi Group AB.
The transaction includes Lucky Voice's venues in Soho, Holborn and Liverpool Street, together with the company's brand, intellectual property and business-to-business operations. All 59 employees associated with the acquired business have transferred to the purchaser.
The company's remaining venues in Brighton, Waterloo and Islington were excluded from the transaction and have closed, resulting in 53 redundancies.
Founded in 2005, Lucky Voice established itself as one of the UK's best-known private-room karaoke operators, offering customers dedicated karaoke rooms rather than traditional open-stage performances. The business also developed a B2B operation alongside its consumer-facing venues.
The company had experienced difficult trading conditions over the preceding 12 months, with rising operating costs and pressure on consumer spending weighing on performance. The financial difficulties ultimately led to the appointment of administrators and the immediate sale of the viable parts of the business.
The acquisition gives Moyagi, a Stockholm-founded operator of late-night bars and karaoke venues, an established foothold in the London market through three operating locations and the Lucky Voice brand.
DWF advised Interpath on the administration and pre-pack transaction, with the legal team led by finance and restructuring partner Rory White-Andrews, who said the transaction had been completed in a challenging trading environment and that the continuation of the Lucky Voice brand under new ownership was a positive outcome, despite the circumstances surrounding the administration.
The sale preserves part of a business that had operated for more than two decades, although the closure of half its six venues underscores the pressures facing operators in the UK's hospitality and late-night entertainment sectors.
