Lumley Castle Hotel Limited - Administration

Lumley Castle Hotel Limited, the company behind the Lumley Castle Hotel, a 14th century hotel near Chester-le-Street, County Durham, entered administration on 26 September after its financial structure became unsustainable. The hotel is a popular spot for weddings and events and even features an escape room. Immediately on their appointment, joint administrators Oliver Collinge and James Sleight of PKF GM completed a pre-pack sale to Lord Scarbrough and his trustees, in partnership with Bespoke Hotels, which will manage the hotel going forward. 120 jobs have been saved. Clydesdale Bank and Yorkshire Building Limited have registered charges against the company.
