Malpas Tractors - Administration
Malpas Tractors, a Welsh farm machinery dealer based in Wrexham, entered administration on 16 December after experiencing cash flow difficulties resulting from difficult trading conditions in the sector.
In addition, the company’s managing director Paul Reeves passed away in April. Mr Reeves had taken over the business in 2006 from his parents, who founded it in 1988.
Patrick Lannagan and Richard Hough of Forvis Mazars were appointed joint administrators.
43 of the 69 staff have been made redundant, with the remainder helping to keep the business running while potential buyers are sought.
Barclays Bank has registered charges against the company.
The company was assisted by Gateley.
