Monk Fryston Hall Hotel – administration

Monk Fryston Hall Hotel, a Vale of York-based country house hotel dating back to the 12th century, entered administration on 16 September. Having traded successfully for many years, the hotel was forced to close during the Covid pandemic and faced challenges that prevented it from re-opening. Around 10 staff who were laid off following the Covid outbreak have now been made redundant. Julian Pitts and Bob Maxwell of Begbies Traynor were appointed as Joint Administrators. Barclays has a registered charge against the company.
