Moves and Promotions — Week of June 30, 2025

Promotions at PwC, Begbies Traynor, Buchler Phillips, and more.

At PwC, congratulations are in order for Catherine Atkinson and Jason Gunter, who step into Partner roles in London. Vesela Romagnoli becomes Director in the West & Wales region, while Kris McNair takes on a Director role in Glasgow and Jason Parry does the same in London.

The firm’s Lead Advisory and Restructuring team also sees new Managers: Sean Howells (Cardiff), Zeyd Kohya (London), and Mahima Ramnani (London). Charlotte Anderson (Belfast), Sarah Giles (Cardiff), and Sam Haworth (Manchester) have all been promoted to Senior Associate level.

At Begbies Traynor Group, Sheraz Ahmed has been elevated to Senior Manager in Manchester. In Kingston Upon Hull, both Chloe Barkworth and Tom Kemp move up to Assistant Manager. Further promotions include Jonathan Eames (Brighton), Jamie Mayhew (Kent), Becky Peacock (Middlesbrough), and Christian Thomas (Stockton-On-Tees), all stepping up as Senior Insolvency Administrators. Meanwhile, Chloe Fletcher (Leeds), Aidan Lawrence (Sheffield), and Jacob Steele (Kingston Upon Hull) are now new Insolvency Administrators.

Boutique firm Buchler Phillips sees three promotions: James Bryan rises to Senior Manager, Alice Fanner to Manager, and Guy Poulter to Analyst.

Elsewhere, Paul Ward joins GS Insolvency & Restructuring as Senior Manager from TC Group, and Kim Reynolds moves to Insolve Plus in London as Insolvency Manager, after time at Lucas Ross. Amber Thyra progresses to Business Restructuring Executive at BDO, while Neave Martin joins Opus as Corporate Insolvency Administrator and Rees Jones strengthens the Opus team in Nottingham.

At Leonard Curtis, Ben Kelly, Raul Mer, and Daniel Szczerkowski all step up as Insolvency Administrators. The firm also welcomes Edward Sparks in Sheffield and Sam Kaye in Birmingham.

Mark Holborow becomes Partner at Crowe, while Russ Parkin steps into a Partner role at Grant Thornton in Insolvency and Asset Recovery.

In an entrepreneurial move, seasoned restructuring professional Alison Morgan launches AMIable, a new consultancy offering insolvency risk management, compliance expertise, and evaluator services, following her role at Teneo.

In market news, Menzies has merged with Haines Watts Wales, strengthening its presence in Cardiff and across South Wales.

In the legal sector, Russ Hill joins Shoosmiths as Partner in the Corporate Restructuring & Advisory team, following his tenure at Squire Patton Boggs. Laura Capece Galeota has been promoted to Senior Associate (Restructuring & Insolvency) at RPC, while Joseph Beat joins Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman in London as an Associate in the Finance & Restructuring team, following his time at Stephenson Harwood.

In chambers news, heavyweight trio Eleanor Temple KC, Carly Sandbach, and Matthew Maddison have joined Selborne Chambers, enhancing its expertise in restructuring, commercial chancery, fraud, asset recovery, property, trusts, and international arbitration.
