One Life Funeral Planning Ltd – administration

One Life Funeral Planning Ltd, a Sheffield funeral plan provider, entered administration on 3 November. The company previously offered approximately 14,000 customers a variety of pre-paid and instalment-based funeral and cremation plans. However, the company was unsuccessful in obtaining FCA approval after pre-paid funeral companies became subject to FCA regulation in late July. The company has been unable to complete the transfer of its customers’ plans to an authorised plan provider before the 31 October deadline, and the Joint Administrators will continue these efforts. The Joint Administrators will also continue to collect instalment payments and arrange funerals in the event that any customers pass away before a transfer can be completed. Andrew Watling and Kelly Mitchell of Quantuma have been appointed as Joint Administrators. Securis Investment Partners LLP has two registered charges against the company.
