Optiplan Kitchens Limited – administration

Optiplan Kitchens Limited, a national kitchen manufacturer and installer with a showroom in Swindon, entered administration on 30 November. Jimmy Saunders and Michael Lennon of Kroll were appointed joint administrators. The joint administrators cited “the well documented slowdown in consumer demand for big ticket purchases”, as well as supply chain and inflationary pressures as contributing to the company’s insolvency. 111 of 128 employees were made redundant. The joint administrators are now looking for purchasers for the assets of the company. Two Hsbc entities each have two registered charges against the company, while Promontoria Holding 155 B.V. has one.
