Over 600 jobs lost as UK recycling firm in £85m liquidation

Unimetals Recycling (UK) Ltd, which operated 28 sites nationwide, was wound up in November 2025 with 607 redundancies, while a statement of affairs for related Unimetals Group Ltd showed creditors owed about £85.1 million, including roughly £62.8 million due to Sims Group Holdings.
