Pottery firm Denby to appoint administrators

The Denby Group, a 217-year-old Derbyshire pottery manufacturer owned by Hilco Capital, has filed a notice of intention to appoint administrators after rising energy and employment costs, reduced demand, and tighter financial markets left the company unable to secure a strategic investment partner, though the business and its subsidiaries will continue trading while restructuring options are explored.
