Purely Diamonds enters administration after four decades in UK jewellery market
Antony Batty appointees tasked with stabilising 40-year-old jewellery business

Stephen Tyler Ltd., a long-established UK jewellery manufacturer and retailer trading as Purely Diamonds, has entered administration, with Jeffrey Brenner and James Stares of Antony Batty & Company appointed as joint administrators on 29 April 2026.
Founded in 1979, the business built its position in the UK jewellery market through the manufacture and sale of handcrafted diamond rings and related products, operating primarily out of London and Manchester.
Trading under the Purely Diamonds brand, the company developed a reputation for bespoke jewellery and direct-to-consumer engagement, supported by in-house production capabilities and longstanding industry relationships.
The specific causes behind the administration have not been disclosed, but the business was likely impacted by the fall in natural diamond prices (over 50% since 2022), due in part to decreased demand due to the rising popularity of lab grown diamonds.
The administrators are expected to explore a range of restructuring pathways, including a potential sale of the business and assets.
