Purity Brewing Company Ltd and Pure Craft Bars Limited - Administration

Purity Brewing Company Ltd, an Alcester-based independent brewer, and its subsidiary company Pure Craft Bars Limited, which operates as Purecraft Bar and Kitchen in Birmingham city centre, entered administration on 22 December. The companies were reportedly impacted by significant cost inflation coupled with reduced discretionary spend. Immediately on their appointment as joint administrators, Mike Denny and Mark Firmin of A&M completed a sale of the business to Breal Capital, saving all 60 jobs across the restaurant and the brewery. Bgf Nominees Limited and National Westminster Bank PLC have registered charges against both companies, while Paul Halsey has a registered charge against just Purecraft.
