Rahman Ravelli Solicitors enters administration as founder moves to Keystone Law
BTG Advisory appointed as administrators of specialist financial crime and commercial litigation firm, with arrangements underway to transfer client matters and funds.

Rahman Ravelli Solicitors Ltd, a UK law firm specialising in financial crime, regulatory investigations and complex commercial litigation, entered administration on 20 October 2026, with Andrew Hosking and Jamie Taylor of BTG Begbies Traynor appointed as joint administrators.
The appointment follows the firm's filing of a notice of intention to appoint administrators earlier in October, signalling financial difficulties at a practice that had established an international reputation for representing businesses and individuals in high-profile investigations and disputes. The circumstances leading to the administration have not been disclosed, and no information has been provided regarding the firm's liabilities or potential recoveries for creditors.
Established in 2001, Rahman Ravelli operated from offices in London and Halifax, West Yorkshire, advising clients on matters including bribery and corruption, money laundering, sanctions, asset recovery, civil fraud and cross-border investigations. The firm developed a substantial practice in white-collar criminal defence and commercial disputes, frequently handling matters involving multiple jurisdictions and regulatory authorities.
The administration follows the departure of Syed Rahman, a prominent figure in the firm's development, who ceased to be a director on 19 August 2026 and subsequently joined Keystone Law as a partner. No connection has been established between his departure and the firm's financial difficulties.
The administrators are overseeing arrangements for the transfer of ongoing client matters to alternative legal representatives. Clients have been advised that they may appoint solicitors of their choosing, with existing case handlers facilitating the transfer of files and associated client funds in accordance with their instructions.
Samantha Palmer of Child & Child Law has been appointed solicitor manager to assist with the orderly handling of client matters.
