Sapphire 15 s.a.r.l. and Sapphire 16 s.a.r.l. – administration

Sapphire 15 s.a.r.l. and Sapphire 16 s.a.r.l., the companies behind the East Kilbride Shopping Centre, Scotland’s largest indoor shopping centre, entered administration on 16 November. The centre has over 150 shops, several restaurants, a cinema and an ice rink. However, it has been impacted by the challenges facing the retail sector, and lost a number of large tenants such as Debenhams during the pandemic. Alistair McAlinden and Blair Nimmo of Interpath Advisory were appointed Joint Administrators. Scoop AM has been appointed asset manager, with Reith Lambert continuing to act as property manager. The centre will remain open and all day-to-day operations will continue unaffected by the administration.
