Sarah Raven Kitchen & Garden Ltd, a national gardening brand, has been rescued with a pre-pack management buyout.

The company dispatches tens of millions of plants, bulbs, seeds and horticultural products to nearly a million customers across the UK.

Robert Ferne and David Rubin of Begbies Traynor were appointed joint administrators on 14 July after the company fell into financial difficulty.

After approaching more than 100 potential buyers and investors, the joint administrators determined that an offer from Sarah Raven’s management team delivered the best return for creditors and employees. 110 jobs have been saved.

Barclays Bank PLC has a registered charge against the company.
