SBS Group – administration

Streamline Press, John Baxter & Sons and Spectrum Printing Services – collectively known as SBS Group – entered administration on 5 October. The Joint administrators explained that the difficult period experienced by the printing industry during the pandemic, coupled with external economic factors including rising energy costs, resulted in significant cashflow pressures for the SBS Group, which was unable to secure any further investment or a sale of the business. 55 staff were made redundant, while a small number of staff have been retained to assist in the wind-down of operations. Matthew Ingram and Steven Muncaster of Kroll Advisory were appointed as Joint Administrators.
