Shaws the Draper – liquidation
Shaws the Draper, a family-owned business which sold curtains and home goods with 28 shops in Wales and England, has entered liquidation after 106 years in business. Some 150 employees have reportedly been made redundant. In an email to staff, the company said that the business was simply not viable. A member’s meeting will be held on January 10 at which resolutions will be passed to wind up the company voluntarily and to appoint Gareth Stones of Stones & Co as liquidator of the company.
