Thames Creditors Plan New Rescue Deal to Avert State Control

Thames Water’s senior creditors are preparing a revised rescue proposal that would increase their debt write-off to around 35%, inject approximately £3.5 billion of equity and commit more than £1 billion to improving the utility’s performance, as they seek to secure a deal with Ofwat and avoid a special administration.
