Thames Water seeks £2.4bn lifeline after rescue plan stalls

Thames Water is seeking roughly £2.4 billion of additional emergency funding from creditors, alongside extensions and waivers on 2027 debt maturities, after its existing £3 billion rescue facility neared exhaustion and political opposition stalled a broader creditor-led recapitalisation.
