Torquay United AFC Limited - Administration

Torquay United AFC Limited, a Devon-based football club which competes in the National League South, entered administration on 5 April.

Owner Clarke Osborne, who purchased the club in 2016, announced his intention to place the club into administration in February, saying he was no longer able to continue financial support for the club.

Scott Kippax, Neil Vinnicombe and Simon Haskew of Begbies Traynor, advised by Robin Koolhoven of Stephens Scown, were appointed as joint administrators.

A bid backed by the Torquay United Supporters Trust has reportedly been lodged for the club, and a further announcement is anticipated in the coming weeks.

The English Sports Council and Lloyds Tsb Bank PLC have registered charges against the company.
