Up to 150 ex-WHSmith High Street stores to close as rescue deal approved

The High Court has sanctioned TG Jones’ restructuring plan, allowing the former WH Smith High Street business to close up to 150 stores and impose substantial rent reductions after finding the deal was the lesser of two evils compared with an imminent administration caused by an £8 million cash shortfall.
