Work restarts at Northumberland hospital following Merit's fall into administration

Work has restarted on the £35 million Berwick Community Hospital after former main contractor Merit fell into administration, with interim contractor Opus Building Services now on site, rehiring most of Merit’s team and allowing Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust to push ahead with completing the new facility despite timeline uncertainty.
